What is it?
As you might imagine, Sunset Point is a great place to watch the sun go down with the ones you love. However, the intrigue of Sunset Point isn’t just during dusk. You can also visit Sunset Point at any time of the day to experience fewer crowds than you would see closer to the main beach entrance. Come to this secluded section of beach to enjoy an afternoon picnic with your sweetheart or to just soak up some sun in privacy.
How to Get There from the Resort
Reaching Sunset Point from our Siesta Key hotel is a breeze. Start at the Tropical Breeze front office, then turn left onto Avenida Messina. You’ll come to a fork in the road, which you will follow to the right; don’t follow Columbus Boulevard. From there, you’ll only have to walk less than a block to find the small parking area. Luckily, It’s so close to the resort that there’s no need for you to drive, which is a good thing since the parking lot is so small.
Are There Facilities?
There are no facilities available at Sunset Point. Please swim at your own risk, as there are no lifeguards on duty at any time. Please also be aware that there are no public restrooms or food vendors at Sunset Point. However, you’ll be so close to the Tropical Breeze Resort that you won’t have to worry about it! If you really don’t want to return to your room, though, just be sure to use the restroom before you leave and bring your own food with you.
Siesta Key Village
Equally close to your rental, you’ll find Siesta Key Village, a quaint setting full of some of the best local shops and restaurants. To get there, simply follow Avenida Messina just like you’re going to Sunset Point. This road will quickly take you to the heart of the village where you can enjoy a whole day seeing the sights and sampling the delicious food. Whether you’re looking to find a fun souvenir to remember your travels by or just want to mingle with the locals and grab dessert after a long day of sightseeing, Siesta Key is the perfect place to explore.
