From egg hunts to brunches and photos with the Easter Bunny, Siesta Key hosts many family-friendly Easter festivals that everyone will enjoy. Many of these events are just a short distance from our Siesta Key hotels on the beach.
While not as popular 4th of July or St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll still find a great selection of Easter activities and spring events in Siesta Key, including:
Siesta Key Easter Egg Hunt
Date: April 11, 2020
Location: 8919 Midnight Pass Rd., Siesta Key
Siesta Key’s annual Easter egg hunt at Turtle Beach is designed for children aged 1-6. Registration is $10 per child and limited to the first 150 registrants.
Each child will receive an Easter Egg Hunt Goody Bag loaded with prizes. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and take photos with the kids. Face painting, Kona Ice, and fire truck and ambulance tours will make this a day your little ones won’t forget.
The hunt begins at 10 am for children aged 2 and younger, 10:30 am for children 3-4 years old, and 11 am for children 5-6 years old.
Free parking is available on-site, but you can also take the free Siesta Breeze Trolley
Easter Brunch at the Botanical Gardens
Date: April 12, 2020; 10:30 am-3 pm
Location: 900 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota
Celebrate Easter Sunday at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens with a buffet brunch, games, egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny and other family-friendly activities.
The buffet menu includes omelets (made to order), a carving station and a dessert bar.
Three seatings will be available for the brunch at Michael’s on the Bay: 10:30 am, 12 pm and 1:30 pm.
The fee is $80 for non-member adults, $70 for member adults, and $30 for kids aged 4-11. Children under 3 are free.
Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Team
Date: April 12, 2020; 2pm-3pm
Location: 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy., Sarasota
The Ski-A-Rees water ski team will be giving a public performance on Easter Sunday at their stadium near Mote Marina.
The free show starts at 2 pm. Bleacher seats are available, or you can bring your own lawn chairs. Parking is free, and the stadium has a concession stand to purchase food and drink.
Easter Sunrise Service on Siesta Beach
Date: April 12, 2020; 6:30 am
Location: 948 Beach Rd., Siesta Key
If you’re staying at our hotel on Siesta Key, you can still keep up the tradition of attending church on Easter Sunday. Pine Shores Presbyterian Church has been hosting its Easter Sunrise Service since 1956.
Bring a beach blanket or chair to enjoy the service on the sand.
Hounds on the Hunt
Date: April 7, 2020; 5:30 pm
Location: 2560 Waldemere St., Sarasota
The Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex will host its 2nd annual Hounds on the Hunt event at the Bark Park. Hunt for Easter eggs with your four-legged canine friend.
Dogs who find the golden egg will be awarded prizes.
All ages are welcome. The cost is $5 per dog.
Spring Fling 2020
Date: April 11, 2020; 10am
Location: 3650 17th Street, Sarasota
The Spring Fling 2020 is a massive Easter egg hunt in Sarasota, with more than 30,000 eggs to find at the new Harvest Park.
Kids will also be able to enjoy the giant bounce houses, inflatable slides and face painting. Free food will be served, and parents can shop at the Spring Fling marketplace.
The hunt begins at 10 am and runs through 1 pm. Separate egg hunts will take place for different age groups to ensure that everyone plays fair.
The free event is hosted by The Harvest Church.
Marina Jacks
Location: 2 Marina Plz, Sarasota
Marina Jacks hosts their annual Easter buffet brunch from 10 am-2 pm. The giant buffet will include a carving station, salads, and desserts.
Easter Lunch and a special Dinner Cruise will also be available.
