Siesta Key Easter Egg Hunt

Location: 8919 Midnight Pass Rd., Siesta Key

Meet the Easter Bunny at Siesta Key’s annual kids’ Easter Egg Hunt on Turtle Beach. A short drive south from Siesta Key Village, Turtle Beach is a family-friendly beach with lots of outdoor activities. For this time of year, the finest event may be the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The hunt is open to children ages 1 to 6, and each child receives an Easter-themed goody bag. There will be face painting, a tour of Siesta Key’s ambulance and fire truck, and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Easter Egg Hunt takes place Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost per child is $10, and is limited to 150 kids. For registration and information, call (941) 349-3800.

Easter Brunch at the Botanical Gardens

Location: 900 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota

A traditional Easter Brunch is one of the most popular ways to spend Easter Sunday – and even better when surrounded by the lush tropical gardens of Sarasota Bay.

The annual Easter Brunch at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is one of the best Easter events on Siesta Key. Brunch is provided by the gardens’ restaurant, Michael’s on the Bay, and includes a buffet brunch with favorites like made-to-order omelets, a carving station, and a dessert bar.

This is a family-friendly event, and will include an Easter Egg Hunt, a visit with the Easter Bunny, family photos, and live music.

Seatings are from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $80 for adults and $30 for children ages 4 to 11. Brunch purchase includes daily admission to the gardens. Get tickets.

Easter Brunch will also be served on Sarasota Bay at the Powel Crosley Estate (8374 N. Tamiami Tr., Sarasota). Brunch buffet includes eggs, bacon, sausages, Belgium waffles, and salmon and shrimp options. The cost is $48 for adults and $23 for children.

Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Team

Location: 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy., Sarasota

For something a little different, check out Sarasota’s Ski-A-Rees Water Ski show on Easter Sunday.

The free, hour-long waterski show begins at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, and features generations of impressive water-skiers performing an impressive and exciting show on Sarasota Bay.

The show takes place near Mote Aquarium on Lido Key. Bleacher seats are available for viewers, though you’re also welcome to bring your own lawn chair. Parking is free. A concession stand will be placed nearby to keep you fed and hydrated.

Easter Sunrise Service on Siesta Beach

Location: 948 Beach Rd., Siesta Key

For many, attending an Easter Sunday church service is an enriching way to celebrate the holiday. Fortunately, you’ll be able to keep up this Easter tradition while on vacation at our Siesta Key resort hotel.
