A quick history of the Toasted Mango Café
The Toasted Mango Café was launched in 2011 by Kimberly Duffy and Sandi Wagner, two former waitresses who truly enjoyed working in the service industry. They wanted to create a simple restaurant concept offering delicious and fresh breakfast food with great service and at reasonable prices.
That simplicity turned out to be a recipe for the success of the Toasted Mange Café. With a do-it-yourself approach, they purchased and renovated a building on Siesta Key formerly occupied by Javier’s, a Peruvian restaurant and wine bar, and took care of many of the updates themselves including hand-sewing seat covers and curtains and working 12 hours a day or longer to get the restaurant going.
