4 Fun Restaurants With Live Music on Siesta Key

Siesta Key’s name speaks for itself: The white sand beaches, umbrella-trimmed drinks, and all around vacation vibe beg you to enjoy some much needed R&R. What better than to finish your sunny days off with some great food and live music?

Whether you’re looking for some acoustic tunes or a DJ that mixes until close, these four Siesta Key restaurants right next to our resort hotel are great spots to check out if you’re hoping to catch some local talent over a cold beer.

The Daiquiri Deck

The Daiquiri Deck is a casual restaurant by day and bar by night in the heart of Siesta Key Village. A local favorite, Daiquiri Deck is known for – you guessed it – an “unparalleled” variety of frozen daiquiris, from the Banana Slider to the coffee-coconut Bushwacker.

Their legendary happy hour (3 to 7 p.m. every day) lets you sample flavors two-for-one. Relax with friends as you enjoy live music on the large, colorful outdoor patio and enjoy and endless menu of pub-style food.

While it’s known for its surf – they serve oysters from five different parts of the world – the turf is plentiful, too. Burgers, wraps, and fajitas are just a few of the menu options.

Open 7 days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The Beach Club

More a bar than a restaurant, The Beach Club is known for its parties. With events every night (Wednesday is your night, ladies!), there is often a theme (think Black Light, Asylum Halloween, and Naughty Santa), and almost always a DJ until close. Weekends are reserved for live music – expect everything from “face-melting” rock ’n’ roll to funk and soul.

The Beach Club has drink specials that change daily, and a long happy hour (noon to 7 p.m.) to limber you up before hitting the dancefloor. The menu includes shareables, such as giant nachos and chili cheese fries, and other typical pub fare. Pizza – whole pies and by the slice – is also an option. Try the Kitchen Sink, a one-with-everything pizza with three types of meat, veggies, and hot peppers.

Open 7 days a week, noon to 2 a.m.

Siesta Key Oyster Bar

An Old Florida-style restaurant with a bent toward seafood, Siesta Key Oyster Bar is the place to go for acoustic music and a drink to accompany your food – not the other way around.

A large outdoor patio and hanging lights set the stage for nightly acts. A regular lineup of mellow sounds includes ‘60s beach rock, reggae, blues, and folk.

Tap your foot to some guitar classics while taking advantage of their version of a happy hour: $7 oysters and crawfish (3 to 6 p.m.). But don’t worry – there is an even happier hour later on: drinks are two for one after 10 p.m. on weekdays and after 11 p.m. on weekends.

Open 7 days a week, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Captain Curt’s Crab and Oyster Bar

This half-pub, half-tiki bar is known for seafood and is a bit of a trek from our resort hotel but well worth it. Proud winner of the Great Chowder Cook-Off, an annual competition in Rhode Island, visitors and locals alike have an appetite for the world’s best clam chowder.

While its claim to fame is its chowder, Captain Curt’s is also famous for oysters, crab cakes, and any other dish from the sea.

They have an extensive selection of fish and seafood sandwiches to choose from, as well as “Landlubbers” sandwiches, which include a classic burger and chicken club. Happy hour (before 6 p.m.) drinks are cheap, and an extensive selection of beer keeps guests hydrated.

The bar invites bands and solo sets to perform throughout the week, and screens sports games at its outdoor Tiki Bar, which serves drinks and food until 2 a.m. Some nights, another kind of live music takes the stage: guests are serenaded by sing-along classics, such as Sweet Caroline and Total Eclipse of the Heart on the bar’s regular karaoke nights.

1200 Old Stickney Point Rd., Sarasota
Open 7 days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

With plenty of exciting live music bars and restaurants within walking distance of our Siesta Key resort hotel, you’ll never be out of options when looking for the perfect place to unwind, order a drink or two, and spend your evenings after a long day at the beach!
