Colorful fairy lights hang from the Mexican-style arches lining the restaurant’s outdoor patio. It stands as the perfect ambiance for a place that fuses casual, family-friendly dining and vibrant nightlife.

A large blue, hand-drawn map of Baja California covers the wall. The warm, southern decor takes you on a trip even further south than you ever expected on your wonderful vacation escape.

The place is, of course, the locally famous Hub Baja Grill in Siesta Key.

Weekend Fun, 10 Years in

Celebrating its 10th year of business, The Hub serves up fresh Baja cuisine in bustling Siesta Key Village.

A favorite dining spot for locals and visitors alike, this restaurant features Southern, Tex-Mex, and local seafood specialties all with a Baja flair. The restaurant is well-known for the grouper fish tacos, hand-made lobster bisque, and many others.

It’s a great place to eat with the whole family, as the restaurant has a family-friendly menu and exciting atmosphere – no one will be bored during their dining experience at The Hub.

The Hub is open for lunch, dinner, and a casual drink, which can be enjoyed outside on the patio under the warm Florida sun. The crew offers both outdoor sidewalk-style and indoor dining. There’s also regular live music in the afternoon and in the evening, including reggae, rock, and iconic covers of popular music. The restaurant and bar are often buzzing with life – particularly on the weekends.

The Menu

This Latin-American-tropical-inspired menu takes local delicacies and products and does them up Baja-style. There are many Siesta Key restaurants to choose from, but for those who crave a big menu of Latin American favorites, The Hub is a good place to begin.

For starters, they have a variety of soups, such as chili and lobster bisque, as well as salads, including a meal-sized taco salad. Wings and nachos are popular appetizers, as well as the spiced ahi tuna, which comes drizzled with a Dijon soy glaze on a bed of kale super food blend salad.

Their sandwiches include an open-faced Baja chicken sandwich with cilantro-poblano crema and the Cuban – pork, ham, salami, cheese, and pickles grilled until the bread is crispy and the cheese melted over every bite.

On the “Local Fresh Favorites” list, there’s a Key West Seafood Pasta, a garlic-white wine linguine tossed with Key West shrimp, Bay scallops, and garden-fresh vegetables. The classic “Fish and Chips” is another local favorite option, and is served with fries, pickled red onion, and malt vinaigrette.

Among the more Mexican-inspired options are a variety of tacos, burritos, and chimichangas. Apart from the famous grouper tacos, the Mojo Pork Enchiladas and the Chicken Chimichanga are popular plates.

The Hub Baja Grill makes a mean margarita, which includes the “Skinny” – tequila, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar – and “The Cadillac” – a creation with orange and lime flavors and a splash of sour. Go for the pitcher, since you can easily walk to your Siesta Key resort hotel.
